I absolutely love the shape because this long wedge flatters the neckline so beautifully! If you don't know what a tussie mussie is, it's a Victorian nosegay that used to be given to women around the turn-of-the-century "Alicia" the chow loves to surround herself in beauty, and the garden is where her special bliss is. Look at that wonderful paw coming out from inside the bouquet. She just loves her garden and likes to touch the velvety petals with her paw, every chance she can get Every inch of this design is hand sculpted with a knitting needle and then finished in my 3-D watercolor technique, layering the colors to achieve this depth and detail The flower encrusted bail is separate from the pendant and is hinged in the middle for lots of movement Opaque crystals and wood rondelle beads frame the pendant on soft black neoprene cord This signature necklaces the perfect kind of design to wear to the Chow National specialty or anywhere you want to show her off. THE GARDEN PATH- CLICK HERE TO VIEW VIDEO DESCRIPTION IN A NEW WINDOW This signature necklace and earrings set is one of my favorite sets EVER! There is literally a garden party going on here with the chows being the life of the party. The necklace was created in five distinct pieces, when strunk on the neoprene cord, adjust to fit the neckline like you were born wearing it!. The central long pendant features the two romping Chows I named "Zoie and Zeus", and the little froggy's name is "Glurp" . All of the garden elements have been sculpted by hand on the end of a knitting needle and with a sewing needle I used my 3-D watercolor technique to blush color into the chow's shaded red coats, as well as some of the flowers. The leaves with clusters of flowers to the left and right of the centerpiece are also hand sculpted and created as beads with a channel running through the center Then to make a nice separation between the centerpiece and the leaves I sculpted little vine beads to entwine the cord Two large aurora borealis crystals were added to the beadwork as well as the hand sculpted black beads to finish off the ends The earrings are large but practically weightless as is the necklace..... you hardly know you're wearing either one of them. This is my most elaborate piece of the 2012 Trunk Show. It is truly a statement, it is one-of-a-kind, and comes in its own special presentation case to use for traveling to the National Specialty or wherever you plan to bring Zoie,Zeus and Glurp on a roadtrip!! CRYSTAL GREENHOUSE- CLICK HERE TO VIEW VIDEO DESCRIPTION IN A NEW WINDOW CRYSTAL GREENHOUSE is one of my 3-D watercolor designS that features a 1920s flower shape Swarovski Crystal down below her chin They face on this chow is absolutely gorgeous ....look at that pretty pretty muzzle. I sculpted her and the floral elements in white and then blushed them in layers and layers of color which give an almost airbrushed effect. The entire head is surrounded by hand sculpted orchids and leaves, and I echoed that same theme up in the handmade leaf beads on the necklace. They are also 2 wonderful opaque green crystals that flank the leaf beads with matching earrings as well The beads on the neoprene cord have little tiny disks that slide up and down so you can wear the accents at the level of your neck you prefer. This necklace and earring set is light as a feather..... you hardly know you're wearing them! She comes in her own presentation/travel case so she can come to the National with you!!
