I started t this necklace out with a pendant that was so beautiful as it was, and just needed a chow to make it perfect The background diamond shape is lead free pewter and is covered with tiny little Amber Swarovski crystals. The Chow I sculpted on top with little leaves around her to blend the two different surfaces together and fired her directly onto the pendant. She was then coated in layers of matte polyurethane over the top for a brushed silver finish There are three matching charms hanging below the pendant. They are very ornate... almost hill tribe silver looking. Each has a tiny rhinestone in the middle of them to match those on the pendant, and a black crystal is also hanging from the third dangle. There is an incredible amount of movement in this designer statement peace. Watch the jaws drop wherever you wear her. I also sculpted all the turquoise elements that are in this Southwest inspired design including the large beads on the chain. After this yummy chow was created, she was fired,then layers of matte silver finish were applied over the surface with a hand applied patina that brings out the details of this elegant design I didn't stop there, as there are also tiny Hilltribe silver flowers from Chiangmai Thailand applied to the surface to bring the design full circle Silvers Soliel is a substantial statement necklace. From my aristocratic sculpted chow focal, all the way up to the hand sculpted beads crystals and patina'd bronze finish, this piece just screams out "wear me to the Grand Palace " The background square is inspired by my trip to Istanbul Turkey and Cairo. The half-inch 1920's vintage glass cabochon under the chow's paw is full of iridescent sparkle and echoed in the rest of the pendant by tiny paua shell cabochons that reflect the same coloration The Chow as well as the background have a matte pearlized bronze finish and are highlighted with a hand applied patina to bring out the details of the sculpture The two large beads on the necklace I handmade from polymer clay and finished with the same iridescence to match the crystals. Anodized aluminum rings, and beads were added to finish the design. The necklace to be one either with or without the beads...a CLASSIC!
