OCTOBER 8, 2012 What to do with yesterday's heirloom tomato harvest??? Fresh Salsa!!
After stirring it all together I'll let it sit and the fridge for the flavors to blend, then decide if it needs more heat or any other additions. I'm marinating and grilling pork to pull for pork and fresh salsa tacos this week!
Simple ingredients. 8 juicy heirloom tomatoes, chopped cilantro, diced large Walla Walla sweet onion, 6 cloves of garlic put through a garlic press, juice of one lime , Thai and Fatale chili's from my garden .
The yellow Fatale is hotter than habanero...I used latex gloves and eye protection, deseeded and took off the membranes before finely dicing and only used half of one Fatale pepper for it's incredible flavor. The rest of the heat comes from my Thai peppers.
