Below is a collection of some of my favorite images from Botswana taken in 2007, converted to black and white. The textures , patterns and motion tends to show up so much better without the distraction of color. Since so much of Africa in winter is monotone as it is, I didn't feel anything was lost, only gained from removing the color.

I did however keep the sunsets in to remind me of the incredible Africa light...not like anything we have seen anywhere else in the world! Enjoy!
