Lil watches her friends walk away after they petted her
Lil still has the strut down even at 9 years old
Sally-mander
Lillian loved the ocean so much today. We couldn't have had any better light as we did at 9:30 AM....she absoutely glowed
Lilypaws in the sand
Feeding the seagulls in the evening
The Inn at Spanish Head, Lincoln city
Caught in a "Kodak MOment"...dog and all
Lillian was on the top of a huge driftwood stump here for me to get these fun photo angles
I can't believe I got so many great shots of her this day
This angle looks very much like her mother Meg and great grandma Hanna
Lil and I went out early this morning at the peak of the "minus tide" where the ocean literally is replaced by the ocean bottom. All sorts of goodies become exposed well beyond the normal tide pool range. We watched treasure hunters with metal detectors and baby seals all morning in the crisp sunshine
"Hey mom....lets follow these footprints"
Lillian finally is getting in the groove of kicking back and having fun. She finds a dead starfish at low tide and tries to pick it up
When picking up the starfish doesn't work, she decides to stomp it a few times
Lil found a treasure!!! She never carrys ANYTHING in her mouth so I was trying to see what she had here
All of a sudden Lily drops her new prized possession.........it was a golf ball. IN 9 years I have not seen this dog pick anything up off the ground but dog food. We think she was channeling Gracie! LOL!
Too bad this shot was blurry but it's such a cute photo of her carrying the golf ball down the beach. Wow she looks like Meg and Hanna here.
PLOP...Lillian put the ball on the ground and waited for the waves to make it roll...then she pounced on it again. I laughed so hard I cried. I managed to get these few in focus shots and a lot of cute blurry ones...lol!
"I GO WHERE MY SHADOW TAKES ME"
It was a "Minus tide" this morning which reveals more of the ocean bottom than an average low tide.
"Minus Tide" at it's lowest in the AM. You could hardly see the waves in the distance. It was eerie to say the least
I loved the way the footprints tracked around the horizontal log
"LIVING ON THE EDGE" Another low tide shot...You can see Lillians footprint on the crumbling cliff of sand
The wild seals were are fascinated with Lillian as she was with the. They would come up to the shore and snort at her and tease her. Lillian just looked like...... "whatever,..I'm not getting wet to play with you"!!!!!
The wild seals were are fascinated with Lillian as she was with them. I took a ton of photos but very few were of the face. They were so darned quick and had me laughing outloud for about an hour.
